M.E.S.S.I.A.H. (Microphone Engineer Specifically Skilled In Assassinating Haterz)
was born on Feb 7th in the late 70's as hip-hop music had just began to form. During his early childhood he split time between Washington D.C.'s Southeast Side (his mother's hometown) and the Southwest portion of Virginia (his father's hometown). By his late childhood M.E.S.S.I.A.H. and his mother had set up permanent shop in Virginia though he would continue to return to Washington D.C. during the summers to visit other members of his family. While in Virginia at the age of eleven M.E.S.S.I.A.H. began to embrace the art form of hip-hop that was beginning to peak in major cities on the east coast and throughout the country. At the age of twelve he began to write his own rhymes and briefly formed a group called 2YN with a childhood friend. The two would spend the next three years sharpening their skills through battle raps, freestyles and homemade tapes. By the age of sixteen M.E.S.S.I.A.H. began to be known within his peer group as one of the top M.C.'s. He then would spend the next three years as part of the Southwest Sector Crew and appeared on a countless number of tapes made by the group of M.C.'s. M.E.S.S.I.A.H. found himself in Hawaii and after about a year of reestablishing himself as a freestyle and battle M.C. he landed a record deal with the upstart Goodfellaz Entertainment. He quickly released a studio recorded mix CD entitled "How it Should Have Went Vol. 1" and rapidly created a buzz for his music. He has appeared in several live performances throughout Hawaii. Currently back home in VA, M.E.S.S.I.A.H. is putting songs togeather for GOODFELLAZ third mixtape, from the "How it Should Have Went" series
P.O.O.R. (Plain O'l Original Ryan) is a rap artist born in L.A County CA. His first dream was to follow in the would be footsteps of a few of his family members...acting. Growing up P.O.O.R moved all around the I.E (Inland Empire) everywhere from Highland, Redlands to San Bernardino to Pamona and West Covina. 9-11 hit and the job his Mother had forced P.O.O.R and his Mother to move out of state, the Choices were, Chicago, Denver, or Honolulu.. a no branier. Off to Hawaii they go, While attending Aiea high school he heard of this rapper from Michigan by the name of Marshal Mathers a.k.a "Eminem" Eminem's raw talent and unique style made P.O.O.R open his eyes and see that wonder they call Hip-HOP, and so it began. P.O.O.R's style hugged Eminem's leg and so he used it in his numerous battle competitions and came out flawless, which pole vaulted him to be "the one" to battle at his High School, but lost all momentum when he moved back for college and attended A.A.R.B. in Huntington beach CA.... but the dream did not end there. While in CA, P.O.O.R worked on music with producer's "TJ" and "Sean" as well as Hawaii "block star" artist "C-Rock" After college P.O.O.R got a job offer back in HI and flew out the next week. While making back yard jams with Producer "Rell" he stumbled upon his first independent single "Roll that Body" in witch he connected with producer "Mo Luv" whom he'd meet up with again down the line. P.O.O.R was hooked on music again. P.O.O.R ran into local model "Kat Riel" and asked her to be featured in a few song his songs, she consented. They made hit's such as "OMG legs" and the widely known "boys and girls". P.O.O.R linked up with former class mate "Shawna Lynn" and made a song called "P.O.O.R Child" which was recognized and later played at radio station "HOT 93.9" Mo luv recognized that song as a hit and set them up for performances. P.O.O.R's stage presence and Shawna Lynn's amazing voice never failed to bring the house down wherever they performed. He threw his originality card and thought he'd add live kids to one of his songs and created the hit "Chance" Chance was a instant success and shed a bit more light on the artist. NOW with a new arsenal of beats, technicians, close friends and inspiration, P.O.O.R is going through a total transformation, a "spit and shine" if you will and is going to....... well you know
